For me it is not thinking about “keeping” the energy level up, my personal key is to set the right mindset and goals for the day, understanding the physical and mental effort that those will demand and then preparing for it. Meditation, visualizations, breathwork and stretching are the morning tools that help me get that right.

I am a therapist supporting physical and emotional wellbeing. As a former professional dancer I use all my knowledge and experience with physical movement and emotional expression to elevate the quality of my work. I listen and look at everybody with a kind and understanding eye, providing a safe space for healing. Are you struggling with ?
As a former athlete I know how it feels, and it is very common to experience it and ignore it. Why? Our legs are very resilient and they take us from place to place withstanding many daily challenges.

Be careful! If you keep pushing or ignoring these physical complaints, they might manifest more often and/or intensify.

BEING HEALTHY AND BEING FIT ARE TWO SEPARATE CONCEPTS.

Being healthy refers to overall well-being, which includes mental, physical and social aspects. It refers to living a balanced lifestyle that includes a healthy diet, regular exercise, stress management, and avoiding harmful substances. On the other hand, being fit refers specifically to physical fitness. It means having good cardiovascular and muscular endurance, strength, flexibility, and body composition. While being healthy promotes longevity and quality of life, being fit is more focused on physical performance and ability to perform specific tasks or physical activities.

Unfortunately, I do hear the stories and see clients who feel exhausted, often get injuries, and are emotionally or mentally drained due to overthinking and pressuring themselves to achieve an unrealistic “fit body” goal, which focuses only on the physical and nothing about the mental and emotional wellbeing. For what? Many times, only to feel seen/appreciated and or accepted by others. What will the others think? External validation focused? Everyone is different, and therefore might need a different fitness and wellbeing plan.

Often we try to do and achieve everything by ourselves. Do not forget, there are professionals in each health and fitness area ready to support you.

BE KIND TO YOURSELF.

Don’t forget, within a good fitness plan there needs to be a good recovery plan.
