Two dedicated leaders who bring decades of service, experience, and heart to our community.
👮♀️ Major Stacey Heatherly:
Major Stacey Heatherly is a 27-year veteran of the Tennessee Highway Patrol and currently serves as the Major over the East Bureau Field Operations. A lifelong resident of Jacksboro, Tennessee, she continues to live in her childhood home.
From 2021 to 2025, Major Heatherly served as Captain over the Knoxville District. Prior to that, she was the Lieutenant in charge of Knoxville District Dignitary Protection until 2019, providing dignitary detail assignments throughout her career as a Lieutenant, Sergeant, and Trooper. Her leadership experience includes commanding Troops A, E, and C, the Special Programs Unit, and the Scales Division.
In 2009, while serving in Nashville as a Sergeant with the Office of Professional Responsibility, she became the first uniformed Public Information Officer in the history of the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Major Heatherly is a graduate of the Northwestern University Police Staff and Command.
She and her husband, Michael, are proud parents of four children, and are “Mimi/DiDi & Pops” to six grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all residing in Campbell County. Michael, a 17-year veteran of THP, serves with the Critical Incident Response Team (CERT).
Trooper Michael Heatherly is also a retired 20-year military veteran of the Tennessee Army National Guard, having served with the 2/278th and 1/175th.
Major Heatherly is deeply committed to God, her family, and the proactive, dedicated policing of the communities she leads.
👮♀️ Aaron Evans:
Aaron Evans is a dedicated law enforcement professional with nearly 25 years of experience, driven by a passion for serving his community. A 1998 graduate of Campbell County High School, Aaron has built a distinguished career as a former Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper, Chief Deputy of the Campbell County Sheriff's Office, Captain and Jail Administrator of the Scott County Sheriff's Office, and currently, Chief of Corrections and Jail Administrator of the Morgan County Sheriff's Office.
As a compassionate advocate for recovery and rehabilitation, Aaron is committed to supporting faith-based initiatives that promote healing and restoration for all individuals, including those who are incarcerated. His commitment to service and his people-first approach have earned him a reputation as a leader who genuinely cares about the well-being of others.
As Chairman of the Campbell County Republican Party, Aaron continues to serve his community with integrity and dedication. A lifelong resident of Campbell County and a servant to Morgan County, Aaron's passion for public service is rooted in his desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those he serves.
