Anemia
Anemia is a blood disorder that results from a shortage of hemoglobin in the red blood cells.
Types of Anemia:
Anemia can be genetic (like sickle cell, Thalassemia, or Pernicious anemia), caused by Malabsorption issues (such as most cases of Megaloblastic anemia, where surgery or certain medications inhibit the synthesis and storage of vitamins B12 and folic acid), or triggered by nutritional deficiencies (most commonly related to the lack of vitamins and minerals in the diet, particularly iron and vitamin B12).
