Cru is finally going to a first day of school. Due to all the missed school days the last two years we decided to have Cru repeat 1st grade and he is ready!!

Good news tumor is shrinking and doing what we want the medicine to do. Unfortunately with the weight gain he is having, his meds will be decreased. He also got an adhd diagnosis which is pretty common after multiple brain surgeries and we honestly was hoping for the diagnosis because it’s been rough going lately. He will not have to go back until December, so that will help with getting school started and a routine going. He also does not have to have his heart monitored no more at this time because he has had good scans for so long now. So more good news!! Thank you all for the prayers!!

Cru just went back for his MRI, I will update when we hear something. Cru had a really rough day yesterday on not want to cooperate with any appointments, so hopefully they can get today to go better!

Prayers and good vibes for safe travels, as they head back to St. Jude’s today. Our family has been through the ringer this week with another situation so we need this trip to bring some good news. I of course will update as the info comes in. He will have lots of appointments this week so most updates will more than likely be during the evening times unless it’s a short day. As always thank you for keeping our little dude in your thoughts!!

Now that they have made it home and the car situation thankfully got figured out, I figured I would update with what the cardiologist has said. Cru will be taken off his trial meds for 2 weeks and then he will have an echo and EKG done. They are hoping being off the meds his left ventricle will heal on its own. He will not be allowed to continue the meds if his LVEF is not above 50%. Right now it is measuring at 43%. This is all very nerve racking because last time he was taken off the meds for this long his tumor grew at a fast pace. We do need to start him on some form of a diet to try to battle the extra weight because it really is taking a toll on his body. His appointment with cardio will be May 6th and he will be able to have that done locally at Children's Mercy. I will update once we have or know anything after that appointment or anything in between. Please keep praying for our little man and having him in all positive thoughts.

So blessed!!!

This might be a long shot but is anybody on here in or around Memphis or know someone that works on cars. Cierra and Brett are broke down right now. A tow truck driver is on the way and he is hopefully going to figure out the problem because most shops in the area are two weeks out. Prayers we get this figured out soon. They was supposed to be coming home tomorrow. Thankfully Ronald McDonald house is allowing them to stay again to try and get it figured out.

Some good news, some not so good news. Good news is MRI doc says tumor is stable. Cru's actual doctor says she believes it looks smaller and lighter which is good. Bad news he has a valve in his heart that is not working properly, so they want him to skip his next couple of doses of the medication to see if the cardiologist is okay with him continuing it at the dose it's at. All his blood work is high or low. His weight gain is at 36% and if it reaches 40% meds will be decreased again. He was dehydrated a bit so blood draw was hard and he got poked 3 times so from now on he will have to go to the pic line lab for blood draws. That's all I have for now and I will update with what the cardiologist decides to do once we hear something. Thank you everyone!

It's that time again. Prayers and good vibes that the MRI shows shrinkage, that the blood work is amazing, and Cru has a good day. Will update when there are results.
