Introducing CircleTalk!

Acts of Connection Weld is excited to announce that we are looking for facilitators to lead CircleTalk discussions. CircleTalk is a conversation-based program where small groups of adults come together on a weekly basis (for at least 6 weeks) to share life experiences and find community and belonging. Acts of Connection will be covering the cost of the facilitator training, as well as act as a support system for facilitators for the weekly meetings! If you or anyone you know is interested, or would like more info, please contact us at healthymindandspiritweld@gmail.com.

Everyone deserves to belongto something. Connection. Belonging. Community. Human beings are biologically wired for connection. Over many years, our brains have adapted to expect being close to others. Lacking connection hurts our health and wellbeing because it is as essential to survival as oxygen, food, water, and shelter.

Small Acts, Big Impact! 💫

Here are 3 simple ways to stay connected:
1️⃣ Send a quick 'thinking of you' message.
2️⃣ Plan a coffee date or video chat.

💭 Do you know an older adult who may be interested in participating in social connection phone calls with CU Anschutz health profession students?

COAST-IT (Connecting Older Adults to Students Through Interprofessional Care) is an an outreach program where students from either the CU Anschutz School of Medicine, Skaggs School of Pharmacy, College of Nursing and School of Dental Medicine programs will pair with a community older adult to have weekly to bi-monthly social phone calls with each other to build a connection of mentorship.

This is a great opportunity for connection -- where someone can share life experiences, offer mentorship, and build a rewarding intergenerational relationship with students during their journey of becoming future clinicians! Check out UCHealth's recent feature of this special program 🌟⤵
