Classes are back!!👏
My local butcher shop has a business plan and connection to the community like no other. They source all of their products from WNC and have built strong relationships with their farmers. In fact, they have part ownership in the cattle ranch, where their beef comes from: 🐄. The shop takes pride in the transparency of their sourcing and production.
Do you know where your food comes from? I do!
🐖Whole Hog Butchery Class 🐖
Presented by:
-PJ Jackson, owner/operator
-Rob Jones, retail manager/butcher
-Uriah Standish, general manager
This class shows the breakdown of half of a pasture-raised hog that came from that day. PJ discussed the care of the animal, how the animal gets to the shop, the butchery of the animal, and cuts of meat.
They use every part of the animal for specific cuts, stocks, sausages, salami, and even dog treats. I know my dog loves the skin!
I am very lucky to have a butcher shop that seeks to educate their customers as well as feeding them. I encourage you to research your own area for a quality butcher that is open about where their meat comes from. 🐄🐖🐓🦆🧀🥚🍷
👉Next week is Poultry and Wood Fire Class. Stay tuned!
