Hey y'all!
Ok, so last week I spoke about one of the enemy's tactics - resistance. Coming into this year of more, the year where God is going to show you better than He can tell you, the year you will begin to reap that which you have sown...you have to expect resistance.
What is resistance?
Resistance is the refusal to accept or comply with something; the attempt to prevent something by action or argument.
The enemy is not just going to allow you to walk into this new year knowing your change has come. His job is to steal, kill and destroy your hopes, dreams and visions. He does not want you to walk into your blessings so he is using whatever he can to slow you down, distract you and stagnate you.
Now that we know this, we have to shift our mindset!
Another definition of resistance is the ability NOT TO BE AFFECTED by something, especially adversely.
To combat the resistance, you have to know what the enemy is using against you - what are your triggers? Then you have to put proper protocols and boundaries in place so that you can protect your promise and purpose. This is how you can minimize the effect of the resistance!
Knowing is half the battle y'all! Get ready. Stay ready so that you can see the salvation of the Lord! Your blessings are yours! You have the authority to go get them! Don't allow the enemy to tell you or show you anything differently. Keep going in spite of what you see, feel or hear.
Yea, he plays dirty but as our forever first lady said, when they go low, we go high! When everything around you looks like the opposite of what God has told you, the enemy has you focusing on things too low. You have to come up to see what's really going on. Look above the smokescreen. Look above the shadow of death. Pull yourself up so that you can see things (and people) for what (and who) they truly are.
Above is where your blessings come from.
Below is where the enemy wants to keep your focus.
So as you enter into this week, don't allow the enemy to catch you off guard. Be prepared for the resistance!!
