Through ALL 45 years of your nursing career you have touched countless lives, held so many hands, and sooooooo many veins😂 You have walked many steps, answered millions of call lights, and made so many phone calls to doctors!!! You were the best advocate for your patients!!!! They knew they could trust you and they knew they were going to be ok!!!! It's something about your presence that lets tour patients know EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OK!!!
You have made so many memories with so many people, and you have taught and inspired so many to further their own education and career. You are loved by us all and we will miss you tremendously!!!! Thanks so much for being the best nurse anyone e could ask for!!!!! We are so lucky to be able to say we worked with Jackie and she was the BEST!! Have fun with your future endeavors, road trips and cruises!!!! (You can now safely answer your phone, eat a hot meal, and give all those dry erase markers that you've collected to the grandkids, you won't need 'em anymore!!!🤣🤣🤣) WE LOVE YOU JACKIE!!!

Being a nurse means so many different things to so many different people, but all nurses can agree on these things....being a nurse you will NEVER be bored, you will ALWAYS be frustrated, you will be surrounded by challenges, so much to do and so little time, you will carry IMMENSE responsibility, with very little authority, you will step into people's lives and make a difference, some will bless you and some will curse you, you will see people at their worst and you will see people at their best, you will never cease to be AMAZED at people's capacity for LOVE, COURAGE, & ENDURANCE, you will see and experience great triumphs and devastating failures, you will cry alot and you will laugh alot, you will know what it is to be HUMAN and to be HUMANE.
On this day The Medical Telemetry Unit at Bayshore Medical Center want to honor Shafaq Zafar for experiencing all if these things while being humble, graceful and compassionate. Today those things are what differentiated you from the rest. Congratulations on receiving the Daisy Award for December 2017, what an amazing accomplishment, we are so proud of you!!!

A truly great boss is hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget!!! Words can't express how much we appreciate you and all that you do for us as well as the unit!! I hope we can get 15 more years out of ya!!!!
