The bottom of the spine S2 S3 S4 and Vagus Nerve Sacral area (Sacrum) leads to benefits by treating the ligaments and mobilization with Osteopathic Manual treatments which activate fibers from cell bodies attached to our spinal cord.

( BICEP FEMORIS) Common injury of strain for the hamstring is done at the long head Bicep Femoris Muscle. The attachment is close to the sit bone high close to the glute. The nagging pain not only needs patience to recover but blood flow to the muscle & tendon with correct contraction and stretching with the proper force. Most importantly the muscle tone of stress needs addressing to work with the therapy for best results, the S1 & S2 innervate the Hamstring Muscle so it’s important to do this first.

Identifying the correct problem in arm pain stiff neck and tingly or numbness are results of reoccurring habits. Re training our upper neck and shoulders can result in managing the pain we feel. Ulnar Nerve is one of 3 nerves that make our arm functional. Remember our spinal column requires several different types of sensory signals that aid in additional relief in our pain. Vibration, temperature or sharpness are a few we should apply to areas of the stretch to help it along.

Back pain can be tricky and in regard to it we must assess around the back and most importantly what surrounds the back. Muscles and ligaments hold the Ilium bones as well as movement in our sacrum. Ilium bones support our back and pelvis structure. I feel that this technique adds a great addition to other techniques while releasing restrictions in the back.

Proper palpation is KEY in applying mobilizing to treat as a whole regardless of pain on one side. We must do both sides and release both sides of the neck methodically.

Carefully set up the stretch first and perform if no apparent pain is present. 6-8 seconds for 3 repetitions. Set yourself into the stretch slow seeing that you may respond quicker than others. MUSCULOCUTANEOUS GLIDE:Perform after the stretch 6-8 seconds for 3 repetitions slowly not forcing the movement. Make sure shoulder blade is pressed downward whilst performing the entire motion. If the pain in the arm has been chronic then gliding would be the first choice and not the stretch.

Back, hip, leg pain and knee pain have been known to be affected by the Obturator nerve. Stimulation of this nerve can also be linked to helping the relief for women’s monthly cycles due to swollen ovaries pushing against the nerve running along the p***s. Both stretch and floss are recommended. NOTES: Tilting the pelvis forward and back with flexing and extending the spine helps the flossing with performing rotation. Everyone’s different so make sure to gently floss using these movements.

(RHEUMATOID)

Yes, there is an alternative for osteopathic treatment regarding stiffness from arthritis and joints. No single modality has proven to be most successful; however, treatment of the somatic component in an arthritis process by administration of manipulative treatment has been helpful in relieving pain
and distress of a chronic condition. Osteopathic manipulative treatment offers an opportunity to treat patients with arthritis without the use of invasive techniques or negative sequelae.
