Another tragic incident involving low driver awareness and lack of safety protocols. The boy has since been airlifted to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, the press release states. The driver stayed at the scene after the crash and FHP is investigating how the incident happened.

Negligence is never an excuse, but it's always a problem. Another child was hit at her bus stop because drivers aren't paying attention. Testing with our light has shown a 30% decrease in speed on average. Awareness is the key.

A child is recovering after she was hit by a car on Wednesday afternoon at a Lehigh Acres school bus stop.
