Today, we honor Dr. King by choosing courage over silence and action over indifference. His words remind us that justice requires our voices, our commitment, and our humanity—especially in moments that call for care, equity, and compassion.

At Fred Finch, we carry Dr. King’s legacy forward through advocacy and providing access to quality and supports delivered in a culturally and linguistically responsiveness to children, youth, and families impacted by trauma, poverty, and challenges.

Each day, we speak up for dignity, advocate for equity, and work to build stronger, more resilient communities where every family has the opportunity to thrive.

As we reflect this MLK Day, may we recommit ourselves to what matters most—justice, service, and the unwavering belief in our shared humanity.

A big thank you to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for organizing a holiday drive in support of the youth and families in our programs.

The LEGO sets were shared with youth during the holiday season—bringing joy, creativity, and meaningful moments of connection. Every set has now found a home, reaching many who may not have otherwise been able to afford one, and the impact continues well beyond the holidays.

We are deeply grateful for your continued partnership and for helping make the season brighter for the young people and families we serve in our communities.

The holiday season was magical and brighter for the youth and families in our programs, thanks to the incredible generosity of Ticket to Dream Foundation and , who helped us create meaningful and memorable holiday moments for our participants.

Because of your partnership, youth and families in our programs were able to receive thoughtful gifts that brought joy, comfort, and smiles during the holidays—many who would otherwise not have been able to afford one.

A heartfelt thank-you as well to Mancini Sleepworld’s generous customers, whose kindness helped make these moments possible. Your support didn’t just provide gifts; it created lasting holiday memories filled with care, dignity, and connection.

Our Enhanced Care Management (ECM) program, which helps children, youth, and families access whole-person care coordination and community supports—because every family deserves to feel supported, connected, and cared for—took part in the Medi-Cal Resource Fair at the Ronald Reagan Community Center in El Cajon!

The event—hosted by the YMCA of San Diego County—brought together families, local organizations, and community partners to share information about Medi-Cal’s expanded services, including Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports.
A special thank-you to Program Supervisor CARES-ECM Pellerin, who represented Fred Finch at the event and connected with families to share information about our services, mission, and the supports available through ECM.
