Picked up some things at Aldi today and decided to take the chicken that I took off the bones to make my weeks bone broth and make some Coronovirus "WARD OFF" soup. If there is one thing my mama taught me to do, is to cook. I only cook for myself these days but I enjoy my kitchen still and the ability to prepare healthy meals.

As part of building the immune system to ward off viruses, I used two large onions and an entire large bulb of garlic. Added veggies that are my favorites plus some spices, and you have a delightful homemade chicken soup.

Awaiting the arrival of my echinecea root tomorrow, and I will be making a large batch of elderberry syrup. Everyone has a kitchen, and there has never before been a better time to prepare or learn to prepare meals healthy for your families or yourself. Invite others to join our group for frequent recipes and health ideas.

I remember when my parents were celebrating their wedding anniversary, and i asked daddy was it too late to be planting potatoes and such. He said, yes, they may do ok, but not the best being this late. This was on April 6th. So not sure this chart if true to our area? Ideas? Thoughts? Please share. I remember he had potatoes, cabbage, onions and I believe green peas planted by about this time. Those green peas tasted nothing like what comes out of a can. Can't explain it. They were delicious. Mama would add potatoes and dumplings to them. Boy can I taste that now. They were absolutely amazing.
