Sure, we all want to be thin and it’s true that maintains a low body fat percentage is beneficial for overall health. However, being skinny is not the same as being healthy. Here's why the saying "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" didn't get its popularity for no reason!

🍏 When you consume the skins of apples, you're not only getting extra fiber but a variety of phytochemicals [AKA antioxidants!]

Our favorite ways to include apples in our diets:

🔪 enjoy sliced with peanut butter and a sprinkle of h**p seeds

🦃 add to Thanksgiving stuffing

🍗 make an apple chutney as a topping for your favorite animal or plant protein

🥗 added to a salad to cut bitterness of other ingredients such as kale or broccoli

🥧 make this simple "apple pie" topping for anything from waffles and pancakes to overnight oats
