The beauty of meal prepping and planning is that you have everything ready to go. This salad took me about 3min to make because I had everything (except for the avocado!) cut and ready to go. Makes for a quick and easy lunch that is packed with nutrition and is delicious!

This is where your health starts!

Gut health is so important to not only feel less bloated and feel good in your clothes but also for your overall wellbeing!

Numerous studies in the past two decades have demonstrated links between gut health and the immune system, mood, mental health, autoimmune diseases, endocrine disorders, skin conditions, and cancer.

The term “gut microbiome” refers specifically to the microorganisms living in your intestines. A person has about 300 to 500 different species of bacteria in their digestive tract. While some microorganisms are harmful to our health, many are incredibly beneficial and even necessary to a healthy body.

If you've been feeling overwhelmed this season (or the past two years...), your gut has probably taken on that stress too. Try to incorporate these things to help you find balance:

• Take a probiotic

• Increase your dietary fiber (as naturally as possible!)

• Lay off the booze

• Drink more water

• Eat fermented foods (kimchi, sauerkraut, yogurt,)

• Eat collagen boosting foods (bone broth is my favorite!)

Do you hate these words as much as I do: fat, I can’t, I’ve failed?

You do? Great, then you’re in the right place lady!👍

I’ve been on this journey of helping others with their fitness and health for a while now, and I’ve learned something really important.

Putting those negative words into our vocabulary becomes like a self-fulfilling prophecy and it makes it’s that much harder to make positive changes.

The way we talk to ourselves impacts our entire well-being, including our physical health.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I like to think of each part of our life and health as a piece of the pie. 🥧 Who doesn’t like pie?

Once I understood the impact of certain words and thoughts on ourselves, I started to understand that it needs to be a part of our approach to fitness and health.

So I want you to do this for me...if you are using those words on yourself, stop, and replace them with this:

✨I CAN and I AM enjoying my life!
✨I’m Strong and I am living pain free!
✨I’m Capable!
✨I accept my body for what it’s been through!
✨I learn from ALL my experiences!

Do you believe that you are truly living the life you want and deserve right now?

I ask because there was a time when I absolutely hands-down was NOT living my best life.

Very naively, I thought that I was invincible because I was young, lived a super active lifestyle, and nothing could stop me.

Hold UP 🛑 Joanna!

That’s literally what my body forced me to do. It forced me to pay attention because I was neglecting my whole health and running on fumes.

What’s the point of hitting all your fitness goals if you feel like you’re dying inside and have no joy in life?🤷‍♀️

Nothing! There is no point.

It was a hard lesson for me to learn, that I can’t do everything all the time and my health involves not just the physical side, but I am a better person for it today.

That lesson also gave me perspective ✨ for helping other women, just like YOU, take a look at how to affect change in their lives through their overall health and wellbeing.
