Hey everybody!!

How’s it going?

Been a while since I was last logged in here..

Had an awesome journey, with downs and ups and downs and now working on the next up, which hopefully will lead to never going down again..

How are you all doing?

Enjoying yourselves?
Hope you’re all good..
Will make sure to dip back in here weekly and catch as often as I can…

Might even start joining some of the old business communities too, and get back on some of those great products everyone is still on no doubt!

Good morning world!!
Ended up learning from people like Grant Cardone last night... just couldn’t stop listening till eventually I dropped off at 2am..
is a new social platform that seems to be creating value on so many fronts.. in less than three days I’ve connected with people on topics as diverse as religion, marketing, building multi million dollar businesses, event management and planning, social change and societal impact.. I even discovered a few people responsible for curating Davos, Speakers to the UN and TED speakers... such diversity and support from so many well meaning people...

my 6am morning on hold for a week, whilst I get some basics in my personal life sorted out first.. going to rest and start again from Monday..

It means you’re human..

I learnt a long time ago, that success isn’t something that happens straight away. Even if as a kid you ended up being top of your class with little effort, sooner or later you’ll meet someone more skilled and more able than you in something that you’re not.

If it’s worth doing, you will no doubt at some point fail.

It’s inevitable.

The only way that you can succeed is being able to dust off the failure and start again.

I massively failed at waking up at 6am this morning. So much so that it’s not even funny.

Physically I attempted to push myself yesterday, and do more than I usually do.

The consequence was that I slept right through my alarm this morning.

As part of my challenge to wake up daily at 6am, I’m deliberately using a gentle alarm on a lower volume, so that I don’t disturb anyone else, and I have to be sufficiently rested. If my body needs more rest, then it means I need to get to bed earlier instead.

Eating dinner late, and eating the wrong foods late all contribute to needing more sleep. And falling asleep after midnight meant the full 8-10hrs I needed was always going to get me waking up later than 6am.

Lesson learned. Let’s see if I can maintain a consistent bed time of 9pm, and see what difference that makes to waking up at 6am..

This just makes so much sense, and such an easier way to explain it... some days just are two spoon days...
To anyone else suffering with a chronic illness take heart in the fact that some days are better than others and that’s just normal...

A great piece of advice shared by the Lymphoedema support network. Many people living with Lymphoedema experience fatigue, carrying excess fluid weight around and the result is a sluggish lymphatic system.

The spoon model can be very useful both for managing your energy levels and explaining your fatigue to others.

Remember it’s ok if you run out of spoons, take time to understand you and prioritise what is important to you each day.

Most of all know that you are amazing!
