FOOD is medicine 🍽️

From my own personal experience, changing someone’s diet fixes about 80% of all peoples health issues. 80%!!!!

And you can probably relate to this as well. Think of the healthiest person you know. Do you ever hear them talk or take any Rx drugs? Probably not.

Fix your diet and you’ll fix your health issues.

Try This 👇

Eat a single serving size bag of potato chips ~160 calories. Note how “full/satisfied” you feel.

Next, eat 1 regular apple and 1 regular banana ~160 calories. Note how “full/satisfied” you feel.

I can GUARANTEE that you’ll feel more full and satisfied by the fruit than you are by the chips.

Note: If you say/think something along the lines that the eating double the fruit is in any way not good for you, but the bag of chips is just fine…you’ve got bigger problems.

Diet 🥩 vs Exercise 🏃

1. Caloric Balance: Weight management primarily relies on the balance between calories consumed (through diet) and calories expended (through metabolism and physical activity). It's easier to control calorie intake through diet than it is to burn off excessive calories through exercise. Consuming more calories than your body needs, even with regular exercise, leads to weight gain.

2. Dietary Control: You have direct control over what you eat and can make conscious choices to manage portion sizes, food quality, and macronutrient composition. A well-balanced and calorie-appropriate diet helps regulate hunger and reduces overeating, which is crucial for fat loss.

3. Efficiency: Changing body fat composition through exercise alone can be time-consuming and will require a significant amount of physical activity. On the other hand, dietary changes can yield more immediate results. Reducing calorie intake or making healthier food choices can lead to a quicker reduction in body fat compared to relying solely on exercise.

While exercise is important for overall health, including muscle preservation/growth and cardiovascular fitness, diet often plays a more pivotal role in achieving specific body fat goals. Combining a healthy diet with regular exercise is the most effective approach for sustainable fat loss and improved overall well-being.
