What is…Stress?
Stress is a physical and/or mental reaction to what is going on in your life. It is a normal thing to feel - but when it is constant or overwhelming, it can negatively impact your life.
It is good to build an awareness of what stress feels like in your body/mind, so that you can recognise it and use methods to manage it. Symptoms of stress can be:
Sleep Issues
Low mood
Tiredness
Stomach issues
Muscles hurt or feel tense
Headaches
Feeling like you cannot make decisions
Sound Therapy and Restorative Yoga were two ways I have managed stress in my life which is why I love to teach them - some other ways are:
Breath work
Talking therapies
Going for a walk or working out
Humour - laughing is a great release
Meditation
Taking care of yourself by resting, eating well and not relying on booze/ ni****ne/ drugs
