Happy Birthday to my partner and friend, Dr. Koticha! 🎉

I’ve known him for 15 years—back when I was a brand-new intern from Egypt and he was chief resident. Those first months were tough, but he always had my back. Years later, when I wanted to do heme/onc, he went out of his way to connect me with the fellowship director and help me get in.

From mentor, to supporter, to partner—he’s been there every step of the way. And beyond all of that, he is the definition of patient-centered care: fair, compassionate, and always putting people first.
