Josie did so great for her spinal tap. She’s receiving her chemo through her port and then we’ll be headed home

Her counts look great and she’s grown so much so her chemo she takes at home has increased

We’ll be back in one month 🧡💛💜

Please pray for Josie as we’re headed to children’s for a spinal tap and starting cycle 6 of maintenance today. Shes remembering more and more of what happens on these days so it does make it scarier for her now but only one more after this and Josie says she’s so ready! We’re so close to the end 💛🧡💜

Update on Josie

We’re waiting on her infusion to finish so we can go home but everything looks so great!

Her labs look so good and she’s gained so much weight that her chemo dosage has increased so I’m hoping it doesn’t affect her too much.

Her second to last spinal tap was scheduled today for June 16th and we are getting closer and closer to her end of treatment 💜🧡💛

Our girl was finally able to play her first tball game today 💜🧡💛 she loved it!

Thank you to everyone for all of the prayers for Josie. She is doing much better 😊 the medicine they gave for nerve pain has helped her walking tremendously.

Her team told us that her last spinal tap on top of her having all of the illnesses she had just took a toll on her body.

She went today for bloodwork and her once a month antibiotics and her labs looked great! 💜🧡💛

Please keep Josie in your prayers

We are waiting to be discharged from Children’s

She tested positive for the flu, rhino and has a double ear infection

She received a dose of antibiotics here as well as some fluids. She’ll continue antibiotics at home on top of her other medication.

So ready for our girl to be back to her normal self. She has been so lethargic, not wanting to eat or drink and just not her normal self for the last week or so

💜🧡💛

Update on Josie

Her team prescribed medicine for neuropathy (nerve pain) and pain she’s having. She started it last night.

She is taking steps today but only on her tiptoes. She keeps falling so she eventually crawls after doing that for so long. She also needs help getting outside and into my car

She will most likely stay on the medicine until treatment ends, if not after.

Thanks everyone for the prayers 💜🧡💛

Please say a prayer for Josie

She woke up this morning not being able to walk and complaining about her legs hurting her. Her team is calling in medicine for neuropathy and pain medicine as well to see if that helps her.

Update on Jo

She’s currently receiving antibiotics and once those are done we can go home! ☺️

She did test positive but since her labs look so great, they’re sure she can fight it off herself

She’s feeling pretty bad but says she’s just ready to be back on her couch. Thanks everyone for the continued prayers 💜🧡💛

Update on Josie

We are headed to New Orleans due to a fever. Her big brother tested positive for the flu yesterday so her team is positive she has it but she needs to do cultured just in case. Please pray that we’re able to come back home later today.

I’ll keep everyone updated when I know more 💜🧡💛

A little update on Jo 💜💛🧡

She has been doing so well these last few weeks. Everyone else in our home was sick and she, surprisingly, never had a symptom.

We got the okay from her team to play tball this summer and she is so excited! She’s also still loving tumbling and wants to go to the studio everyday 😅

Her next spinal tap and cycle of maintenance starts March 31st but until then we’ll be home 🥰

Today is World Cancer Day. , is the number one disease killer in the USA. Kids' cancers and adult cancers are not the same. Children don't normally get breast, lung, colon, ovarian, prostate cancers and adults normally don't get DIPG, Rhabdomyosarcoma, Neuroblastoma, AT/RT brain cancer, etc. However, kids are having to use adult chemo which harms their fast growing cells and organs, creating life long, serious late effects and even early death. We need to ensure every child with cancer receives safe, effective, accessible, and affordable care of the highest quality. We must develop drugs for childhood cancer that don't just delay death, but promote a long, event free, and healthy life for survivors...
