Individuals with hearing loss can safely hit the road... with the right precautions. Here are some tips for driving with hearing aids:

1️⃣ Double-Check Your Hearing Aids: Before starting your engine, make sure your hearing aids are clean, functional, and properly inserted.
2️⃣ Eliminate Distractions: Minimize in-car distractions like loud music or unnecessary conversations that can make it harder to hear essential sounds on the road.
3️⃣ Use Your Side Mirrors: Keep a keen eye on your surroundings through your side mirrors. Visual cues are vital when you can't hear everything.
4️⃣ Keep Windows Closed: Roll up your windows to reduce wind noise and make it easier to hear important sounds inside your car.
5️⃣ Check for Emergency Vehicles: Regularly scan for flashing lights and sirens, especially at intersections. Pull over and let them pass.
6️⃣ Use Hearing Aid Accessories: Some hearing aids come with accessories like remote microphones, which can improve your ability to hear conversations within the car.

Remember, safe driving is all about being attentive and aware of your surroundings. Hearing aids can greatly enhance your driving experience, but they should complement your safe driving practices.

Our very own Jeff and Nicole Moore recently attended Audigy's Owner Summit 2025, an event where private practice audiology clinics can share and learn from one another about how to best improve the lives of their patients and communities.

At the event, these two were awarded the Rich Burba Community Award, an honor that recognizes deep commitment to serving a community, inspiring others, exercising prudent decision-making, and demonstrating strength amid any challenges.

We are so proud of Jeff and Nicole's accomplishment, both in winning this award, as well as representing our team and inspiring other practice owners across the country at this prestigious event.

Please join us in congratulating them on this achievement.

Hearing loss isn't just one thing! In fact, there's a difference between the type of hearing loss and the degree of hearing loss. Let's break it down:

🔹 Type of Hearing Loss: What's causing it? Sensorineural, Conductive, or Mixed?
🔹 Degree of Hearing Loss: How mild, moderate, severe, or profound is it?

Understanding these differences is key to finding the right solutions. If you're ready to find a solution that's personalized to your needs, let's work together to return you to a world of sound.

Do you ever experience that annoying sensation of your ears feeling "clogged" or "full"? 🤔 It might be Eustachian Tube Dysfunction!

Eustachian Tube Dysfunction is a condition that affects the Eustachian tubes, or tiny passages that connect your middle ear to the back of your throat and nose. It can be caused by various factors, including allergies, sinus infections, and changes in air pressure.

In many cases, you may recover on your own; however, please consult a healthcare professional if your symptoms worsen, linger, or recur.

Remember, prevention is always key! If you have any concerns about your hearing health, don't hesitate to contact us for guidance.
