Wed June 18th: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM (Online): Join us for a deeply moving and insightful talk with Sharon Lukert, a retired Buddhist chaplain and caregiver who has spent decades serving those at the edge of life — in hospice, homecare, and hospitals.
A student of Pema Chödrön for more than 30 years, Sharon now draws from her deep well of practice as she navigates life with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), a condition that marks the early stages of memory and cognitive loss.
Drawing from her powerful book, Until My Memory Fails Me, Sharon invites us into an honest, compassionate conversation at the intersection of Buddhist practice and cognitive change.
Together, we’ll explore:
- The role of self-reflection while abilities and identity are challenged
- Applying loving-kindness to work with internal bias and societal stigma
- Finding joy in everyday life
- Resting in the unknown with openness and curiosity
