I can’t lie. Over the past few months it’s been very difficult of me to force my services just because someone ordered it. I cannot do readings and root work simply because I’ve been paid if the energy isn’t right. I’ve been shrinking back, learning more and doing less for now because it feels needed and people feel very entitled to my time and energy.

I suggest messaging me and checking in before making purchases. The website was meant to help clients have access to easy payment methods more than it’s meant to just get people to purchase.

S**t is offensive to be honest. We couldn’t be native. Not that we looked like a hollywood depiction when we did.

Our ancestors were violently beaten into submission and indoctrination. Many of our customs had to be hidden & modified. They operated *under* the veil of Christianity. Them “saints” up on the altars were representations of African Gods because we *couldn’t* practice our beliefs freely.

The Hoodoo lady was sitting right in church, Sunday’s best, crown on (or Tignon cause it was literally illegal to show our hair)

Never forget where you come from, or how we got there. Don’t let them fill up your head with ideas or painting a picture of what you should look like or who you should be praying to.

It’s only generations later that they want to make money off some white washed & imagined version of who we were and who we are.

The way that our ancestors had to FIGHT to survive it makes no sense that I would tell those fighting for or basic humanity and survival to be peaceful in the face of their possible extinction. We were bright here to be chattel and they have constantly been lasting us to the slaughter; we are under educated, under employed, over criminalized.... fu***ng killed. We die more in childbirth than anyone else, we are shot dead in the street, they don't even have grocery stores in many of our communities, just liquor stores owned by asians or middle eastern people. .
I condone our collective self- defense. Period. .
