Actually, what is Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) ? 🤔
👉 It is a highly contagious infection which has become a public health problem, found in young infants and children under age 5 but may also occur in adolescents. Mostly often are caused by 📌 coxsackievirus.

The first thing we should know when talking about a preventative solution is the cause of the problem.
So the first thing we should know is the cause of HFMD and how the virus spreads among the children. The main way HFMD spreads is through personal contact, especially through the fluid from inside the blisters or the droplets spread from sneezing and coughing (saliva or nasal mucus). The children may also catch the virus from contact with the contaminated objects or surfaces.

How to deal with rainy season ☔️ so that your kids won’t easily get cold?

Parents, here are 6 tips to keep your kids healthy and sneeze-proof 😉

1) It’s the pandemic, regardless, they should always wash their hands before and after eating 🍽 Also now they are always on their phones or tablets, ensure that the tech are cleaned regularly as it is one of the place where a lot of bacteria 🦠 can accumulate 🤢

2) Get them moving! Now we are all in lockdown and stuck at home, it’s important for them to stay active and do some short exercises together or better yet, get them to help with the chores 🤣

3) Make sure that your kiddies are getting enough of sleep and not playing with their tech stuff..and more importantly get yourself a good 8 hours rest too if possible 😉💪

4) Get them to eat nutritious meals! 🍊🍎🥚🥬🥜🥩🍜 This is crucial as they are still growing and developing and need all the nutrients that they can get to grow healthier and stronger! For picky eaters, 2 tabs of KidAone a day should do the trick to improve their appetite over time 😚

Oh no! You're precious kid is having flu again! What to do??!

Don't worry, its not easy being a mommy. Especially when your child is sick, they get cranky and keep crying and seeing them in discomfort 😭

Here are some tips to help them feel better without visitation to the clinic:

1) Keep your kiddies hydrated!
2) You can try using a warm compress or a warm towel over their forehead.
3) If they have the flu, it's most likely that they will have cough too so its important to swish their mouth with salt water or warm water and then spit it out. This will clear the bacteria and viruses present.
4) Use a humidifier to help clean the air of dust and debris. And especially for those mommies who live in HDBs, please try to keep the windows closed to avoid dust from coming in.
5)Usually if the kiddies are sick, they will have no appetite too. But don't worry, try to make some warm soup for them to drink to warm their body :)
