It’s 2020, and it’s time for the power of love to replace the love of power.
It is insanity in 2020 to ignore the Climate Emergency, and to continue, or even double down, on the old economy based on burning fossil fuels. Yet the powers-that-be seem to be determined to ignore all of the copious and very clear writing on the wall. The science is unequivocal - it's way past time to stop digging up and burning fossil fuels. Within 10 short years if we don’t make the global shift to a clean economy, the window to save a livable planet will be closed. And it isn't just climate change, we humans are fouling our nest - the air, water, and soil that sustains life - in a myriad of ways. It's time for radical, active love - for the planet, for our children, for "all our relations", the species we share the planet with. And, yes, even for those who oppose us. We simply can't get out of this mess with the same kind of thinking that got us here, the thinking of scarcity, the creation of enemies, the war mentality. A Climate of Love began in the fall of 2018 as a place to gather for twice weekly meditations. Now in 2020 it is changing into clearing house of active, revolutionary love. Actions, meditations, writing, quotes, and music to facilitate this evolutionary shift that has to happen if humanity and all our relations are going to thrive in the 21st Century.
