Happy new year everyone.
It's been quiet on here lately I know. Apologies.
I had to come on an share with you all something I noticed and also something I learned today.
Yesterday I noticed I was feeling rather low. I noticed it easier than before because, well I am looking for it now. By that I mean I try and spot myself doing things that make me lower.
I learned today that Yesterday, was one of the busiest days ever for one of the charities we help with?
I doubt it was "something in the air" as people would say. More so I think it's the low after the high of the holidays and we all slip back into some kind of normality.
Knowing what I have learned this past few years, and knowing I was low, I took myself off on a drive. Good music on my headphones and turned off the news. When I got to where I was going i went for a walk by myself. And took some amazing photos. All the time listening to myself and how I felt.
Anyone else low Yesterday?
You are doing well, and your success rate is 100% on hard days.

Have the courage to step away from everything and everyone that is, and are not good for you.
Anything you struggle with you can get help for when you are willing to try.
You may have tried before and failed, but were you really wanting to try back then when you failed?
Relishing in a compassionate way, that most of the people that support an addiction you have, don't want you to succeed so they're not alone with their's is very helpful.
I was always told it would be the hardest thing I would ever have to do. That I found put me off doing it. After all, who likes pain?
Now I tell people . "It was, and is the most rewarding thing I have ever done."
Self care is not selfish.

Good morning all.
I would like to remind you of something. Something that I have been reminded of a few times this last past couple of weeks. Something that I had forgotten. . Something that never crosses my mind whenI precieve things to be a little hard.

"This too shall pass"

Both of my good friends on the bus have said this to me recently.

And I thank them for it.
Guess what? It did. And it does.

Sorry I have not been on for a time. Its been a busy few weeks.
So what pearls of wisdom shall I share with you today?
Oh i know... here goes.

Love yourself.
You know what I mean? You know the way you do when you help others? Do that for yourself.

After saying that I could think of a zillion reasons why that would not sit well with me..
Are you the same? And they are ALL the best reasons for why I should.

Self care is not selfish.
