On Tuesday’s we yoga with Find Balance Yoga 🧘🏽‍♀️

Thank you for capturing my beautiful boys cheeky half-smile so perfectly yesterday, Aunty Izzy.

The yoga for me is dropping all expectations.

My current meditation practice looks like a magic & quiet 15 minutes with a cuppa once baby (and husband) are in bed ☕️

My current spiritual practice is staring into Franky’s eyes with love and devotion during those night feeds.

How life has changed but I wouldn’t exchange it for the world 🧡

Hello Everyone, popping on here to share that I have finally finished my prenatal yoga teacher training & today I had my sign off with one of the trainers 👏🏼
I started this training in March 2020 when I was pregnant with our first son Bear, however after we lost him it was too traumatic for me to continue. I only felt in the right head space to re-join the program when I was about 16 weeks pregnant with current boy bub.
And Yogi confession: I have waxed & waned in and out of my yoga practice during pregnancy.
I believe our role as prenatal yoga teachers is simple 👉🏽 To guide yoga movement that is safe, appropriate, nourishing and beneficial for the pregnant woman and her baby. Unless trained to do so, it’s not to be a pregnancy, birth or parenthood educator because let’s face it as women we get enough unsolicited advice 😆 It’s about finding the balance between sharing and speaking from our own experience/s which can be helpful to others while encouraging the woman to tap into her intuitive self (which is increased during this sacred time) and holding space for her to have her own experience/s. It’s about using trauma aware language as we don’t know of the woman’s journey when she walks in the door.
I feel empowered to take better care of pregnant women during my future yoga classes (whenever that might be) and until then I will continue to just focus on being MUM!
Love a very pregnant Taz 🤍

💛 Pregnant Pause 💛
I have always loved this beautiful mural in Derby, far North W.A, by our dear and talented friend .
It reminds me of the many women and ancestors who have birthed before me and that it really does take a community to raise our babies. It sure has taken all the love and support in the world of our friends & family to bring our baby boys forth ❤️
In the last month I have re-started my prenatal Yoga teacher training. I started studying during my pregnancy with Bear over a year ago now but it was too traumatic to continue when we lost him.
A couple of things I have been considering whilst continuing with the training and through the experience of now carrying our second son👇🏽:
❣️ how can we make our pregnancy yoga classes and circles trauma informed so that those who have experienced the loss of a child (at any stage) feel comfortable & safe in terms of their mental and emotional well-being? I have a few ideas around appropriate & sensitive language.
❣️While a focus on positive birth is so important, if we are sharing, how can we also make sure women who have experienced loss, birth & death also feel comfortable to share & be heard as they and their babies matter too?
❣️While holding safe yoga spaces just for the birthing woman is so so important, can we also open up some of our pregnancy classes to partners (male or female), parents & surrogates to build the support and education of the birthing woman.
Just food for thought!
Blessings & thoughts to ALL Mother’s tomorrow & grateful that ours has a little more light in it this year 🌈
❤️ Taz x

New Life Goals 😆 “Be the person your dog thinks you are” 🐶❤️
After much thought, I have decided to not continue with any yoga teaching for 2021 as my life takes a different direction including some further non-yoga related study which really excites me and I have just been accepted into 📚🤓🥳
I would like thank everyone who supported me and Yoga Desire and I hope you all got as much out of the yoga as I did❣️
The best way to stay in touch is by phone or email 👉🏽 yogadesire@outlook.com.
And meanwhile I look forward to quietly doing yoga - the path of peace - for myself and my family.
Love Taz 💓

New Moon Heart Word: Connection. Thank you 🌚🌙
My 9:30am (AWST) Online Yoga Circle will be returning on Wednesday 3rd Feb 2021 🙏🏽 this offering encourages an intuitive approach to yoga practice that honours the seasons, the energy of the land & time, our natural fluctuations & humanness. Open to everyone & anyone with a human body (although we do often have fury friends joining online too and they are more then welcome) 🐩 🐈
Dm for details if you are new to yoga with me and would love to join on a Wednesday.

Today is the end of the Christmas/New Year holiday break for Jono and I. It was so lovely to be with family and have my brother with us, even if he did spend a week in quarantine 😆 Time was too precious to take photos but my sister managed to snap this of evening cuddles (of which there were many) 💓
In-line with my intentions for 2021, I’m going to continue to take it slow, gentle, & quiet with less time on socials & space for only small heartfelt yoga circles/offerings that feel good for the sustainable management of my energy.
I have had some fun “refreshing” my website and adding to the Yoga Desire Archives which document the YD journey. Feel free to have a looksie under the Yoga Archives tab - yogadesire.com.au 👀
I am very grateful for the re-discovery of a steady and committed morning Japa meditation practice over this break (thank you .rose) which has become a welcome tool for my grief and anxiety at times. Our little love fancied the mala beads that I practice with this morning - see my stories 🤣📿
Much love everyone & sending a big virtual hug for 2021 with as much love and warmth as is picture here & especially to those who I have not seen yet, long to see or have cancelled on.
Love Taz 🌻

A Christmas gift to 💝
Thank you to everyone who signed up to the charity cathartic offering last night - a Pre-Christmas “Chill” & for your patience and understanding with my internet issues 🤦🏻‍♀️ the class will be recorded again and sent out to you all in the coming days. Your intention raised $415 for . This money has been donated in honour of Ahlia Jane. is an Australian charity dedicated to improving outcomes for patients and their families impacted by the deadliest form of childhood cancer.
This heart work is part of what taking yoga off the mat and into the world is for me 💖
As well as readings from the classical meditation text The Radiance Sutras planned for the offering, here is a poem which I read out last night by Lorna Gibson and adapted by me (thanks Jen):
If Christmas is hard, if you have lost someone dear,
Look in your heart and you’ll know they’re still here.
Star in the sky, that evening summer glow,
Blue Wren outside, it seems like they know.
If this is a time, when you’re struggling through,
Do what you can, for what matters is YOU.
There is no need to be Merry, there is no need to be Bright. Just do what you can and know that is alright.
Christmas wishes friends.
Love Taz (& Jono and Ziggy) 🎄

It was a Simple Summer Solstice with my love at “home”...on Planet Earth, on Noongar Country, in Booyup (Boyup Brook), in our bodies, in our hearts. Bathing in the extended sunlight of yesterday🌞
And now as we start to turn towards the darker days, remembering the light within and around & like so many practiced yesterday projecting that light out and down into the Earth with love & gratitude 🌏
The later is actually a practice that we do in all my yoga classes & is part of my practice. And just like the wisdom keepers and care takers of this land, the elders & traditional owners of Country, if you listen carefully you may even feel the love and gratitude from the Earth re-bound back up to your heart👂
Final online choose your price yoga circle tomorrow @9:30am for the year & by donation online Pre-Christmas “Chill” tomorrow evening for 7pm - 9pm (AWST).
May your summer be sprinkled with Sadhana (activities of purpose & conscious awareness) everyone.
Love Taz 💛

All that we own, and let’s face it that’s mainly all my yoga gear and books 😆 and our entire living space/s are contained within this trailer, that we love 💓
Friends, it’s no longer practical for me to hold onto my yoga bolsters and yoga mats. If you are located anywhere from Perth - Bunbury - Boyup Brook - Bridgetown and would like some second hand gear in great condition please pm me for details❣️I have approx. 11 of the below:
🧡 Bolsters are $40
🧡 Mats are $30
The new moon is a time for renewal but also a time to empty out and I’m really emptying out so new things can grow 🌻
{Big Exhale}
Love Taz x
Funny Fact: Jono said yesterday that this new moon is kicking his arse (and I tend to agree 🤣)
📸 not exactly sure what Country we were on when this pic was taken but it will be on unceded Aboriginal Land somewhere between Derby and Kalbarri, that’s for sure.
