Happy Healthy Deb Inspiration for a happier, healthier you. If you're willing to put in the work, you deserve nothing less. Hey there, I'm Deb! Welcome to my page.

In February 2016, I was in a bad place. Suddenly unemployed, disenchanted, and with no plan for the future, I thought my life had fallen apart. Three months later, I decided to start a website for those who need a little inspiration in their lives. Hello.... it's me....... 🎶

Sooo as some of you may or may not have noticed, I've been a little MIA these past few weeks. I'm barely on social media, and I haven't posted on my website in months. To make a long story short, something really upsetting happened in my personal life, and I needed a break to clear my head and bounce back. I went to spend some time with family, and I even took a slight workout break in September 😱 (I only went to 14 classes my last ClassPass cycle... if you know me and my love of doubles, you know this is borderline insanity). I also pretty much did the opposite of growing my blog, but there's no shame in taking some time for yourself if you need it. Someone asked me to write a post on that a few weeks back, and I think it's a good topic... so keep your eye out for that and more posts coming soon! I needed to find some inspiration again - I guess that meant getting knocked down a couple more times ;) Everything really does happen for a reason.

Hi guys 🤗 I have a new post for you all! It might not apply to most of you right now because I had a specific audience in mind while writing it (those who have been recently laid off), but I'm sharing it in hopes that you'll remember it if you're ever in a similar situation in the future.

As some of you know by now, I lost my first job out of school not even a year after I started it. It was one of the most shocking things that has ever happened to me, and it momentarily turned my life upside down. Seriously, I thought my life was over. Because let's face it - who wants to be suddenly unemployed?!?! But I learned so much from this experience and am grateful for all the life lessons I wouldn't have learned otherwise (and at such a young age, too). I typed up some of those lessons into this post and I hope you guys enjoy!

Recently let go? Don't panic.

One week ago, I took the plunge and posted the most personal and honest thing I have ever written as a way-too-long blog post on a website I had launched the day before. This was a post that discussed everything from my struggle with bulimia to being laid off, and I was terrified of sharing this, to allow myself to be so vulnerable and for the ENTIRE world to see. But one week later, I don't regret posting it at all. I am so humbled by the positive reaction my post has received. From the "thank you for letting me know I'm not alone" messages to the "you have inspired me to look for something more fulfilling" texts, I could not be more grateful for how kind and supportive everyone has been. Always remember that your health and happiness are more important than any job could ever be. More posts to come 💚

My website is live, and so is my first post!

It took me a while to get the courage to actually publish this. I was stuck between having so much to say and being too afraid to actually say it. But since posting it last night, I haven't looked back. Believe it or not, I feel so much more accomplished with one post than I did my entire stint as a management consultant!

Fair warning that it's a little long, and it's also very personal - this post means a lot to me, and I hope that you enjoy it.
