Maternal Child Health: Virgin Islands Nurse Family Partnership Program Nurse-Family Partnership® is a community health program that truly changes lives – for generations to come.

Nurse-Family Partnership helps transform the lives of vulnerable first-time moms and their babies. Communities and society as a whole have grown stronger thanks to Nurse-Family Partnership's commitment to achieving the following goals:

Improve pregnancy outcomes by helping women engage in good preventive health practices, including getting prenatal care from their healthcare providers, improving their diet, and reducing their use of ci******es, alcohol, and illegal substances
Improve child health and development by helping parents provide responsible and competent care
Improve the economic self-sufficiency of the family by helping parents develop a vision for their own future, plan future pregnancies, continue their education, and find work
