Crystal Holt Yoga I am a yoga teacher that believes everyone can do yoga. Yoga is healing for both mind and body. If I was so hesitant about going to a class. It changed my life.

I found yoga by signing up for the gym, they recommended I start with yoga. I had been wanting to try yoga for years (at least 10 years) but I never got up the courage to place my body in yoga pants and do poses where other people could see me. Well I sucked it up one day and went. It was the first time that I didn't hate my body, I was thankful that it was able to hold me in the poses the best it could. I felt my body, I felt prana, life force, breath moving in and out of me. From that day I was hooked and have surrounded myself with yoga ever since. I hope that I can bring this same feeling to the students that I teach.

Checking in! I know it’s been a while. What have I been up to... hum... working my regular full time job and homeschooling my kiddos. We finally got away from home and took a vacation to Mexico. Let me tell you it was sooooo hot! 🥵 It was nice to be able to put down work and not have to worry about it. I even read two whole books 📚 it was awesome to just do nothing for a bit.
What have you guys been up to? How are you feeling coming out of a pandemic? California announced that we do not need to wear masks anymore. How do you feel about that?

This picture feels like so long ago. This is me about 4 years ago. Where has my practice gone since this pandemic? Not sure 🤷‍♀️ We have been sheltering in place basically since March. Going out only when we have to. I think in my subconscious it has all ways felt like yoga was a luxury. Something that I was able to do more of when I wasn’t working. Now that I’m working and am having to help my children with virtual learning and am around my kids and husband 24/7. I have noticed that I need to change my subconscious priorities and way of thinking. I need to practice yoga to keep the crazy away, to be whole and then I can step up and be my best self for my family. So this week my goal is to do yoga every day. I need to make it a priority, lead by example and help me keep myself and my internal mental and physical capacity at at least 70%. What has come to light for you during this pandemic?

Hello 👋 Just checking in! Today is Day 10 of our shelter in place. We are managing well I think. I have lowered expectations of being able to do it all, full-time job and homeschooling. So we are just doing what we can. How are you guys doing? I know Australia has just gone into phase two of their shut down. What are you doing in your homes to stay sane? US peeps what day are you on in your stay home journey?

So a little update on what is going on with me during these uncertain times. My job has become mandatory work from home. I usually work from home a couple of days a week so this is not a huge change. My kid’s school is closed for a month. So I will now be managing work and home school 😬. We were low on toilet paper but I found some so that’s good. It’s raining here in California which is pretty unusual so it is making staying home easier. We have decided to social distance ourselves from others until coronavirus has run its course. This means starting today I have to turn away the neighborhood kids that come to our door and ask the kids to play 🙁 We are not hoarding supplies because we will be ok. I’m thinking of this time as a great way to spend time with our kids who are growing up so fast. We got this 💪. Oh yeah and we are taking lots of vitamin C. Stay healthy you guys.

Love this truth bomb 💣 from 👇🏼

Yesterday I was a bitch. I was grumpy and angry and I couldn’t get out of it. I was annoyed with my clothes, I wore jeans because I had no clean Active Truth leggings. It was hot and uncomfortable. Can anyone else relate? Do your clothes effect your mood?

I’m seriously thinking about making Active Truth my daily uniform. Not sponsored I just seriously love the way they fit my body soo much.

This morning as my daughter explained 9/11 to my son in such a matter a fact way. I was brought to tears remembering exactly where I was that morning and watching the second plane hit on tv. It was the feelings of sadness, shock, and helplessness that came back to me in that moment. To all of those that lost loved ones that day, my thoughts are with you today. ♥️

As I’ve gotten older I have become so much less of a dancer. Only kids and hubby usually see me dance but today I have had a big-ish victory at work so if you see me dancing around you know why. Don’t hold back just dance with me.

Now let’s get into who I am... I am a wife, mother to two awesome kids, a yoga teacher, a tech start up employee. I live in SLO, the place I absolutely love ❤️. How hard is it to open up and be yourself? So hard. Being your true self is vulnerable. But through the vulnerability and saying what you truly feel is freeing and sometimes magical. So I recommend letting go of what is holding you back from being your true self. Express those feelings and you just might surprise yourself.
