Fundraising for a UK clinical trial of FMT for ME (faecal microbiome transplantation as a potential treatment for myalgic encephalomyelitis) for UK charity Invest in ME Research. The previously planned UK Rituximab Trial did not go ah

ead because of the null result of the Norwegian Phase 3 clinical trial. The paper was published April 2019 and Dr. Fluge from Norway presented on their rituximab research at the Invest in ME Research Conference May 2019: https://youtu.be/XRdAzk5zu1Q

Up at 4am tomorrow to drive to Gatwick then arriving in Bergen around 2pm.

Had a couple of massages and lots of rest. Weather over there looks like 5c and rain for the race 👌

I'll be meeting Prof Oystein Fluge and team at Haukeland University Hospital on Friday -some of the top scientists working on ME projects in Europe.

Maybe some media bits and pieces also.

Hey all

You may have spotted that I've signed up for a couple of marathons so far for 2023! 🇳🇴🇨🇭

I'm doing my first races in Norway (29.04) and Switzerland (29.10) and can't wait to get back training.

I've written my first 5000 words of the book finally. Long way to go but hoping to get it out soon. I'll take your suggestions on the title!

We're off to Sussex and Dorset to see family and the girls are both very excited!

Thanks for all your support this year. I guess unsurprisingly I've found it tough dealing with the fact the EU challenge is over. But the memories I'm now writing down are helping me and making plans to keep going with the marathons. Maybe I go for all 44 European countries, who knows 😄

Heading off to Florence tomorrow to run the marathon on Sunday 🇮🇹

Training hasn't been close to what I'd like unfortunately so it will be about safely getting through it. I've been out with a shoulder injury for a month and have been battling through 'runners knee' so will be heavily strapped for this one.

So great to be joined by Ben Runs 4 ME and looking forward to meeting Fabio and Eliza over there who both have ME.

Race is 8am (GMT) on Sunday and we'll be running for the people of Italy with ME and all of you who have supported us these last 8 years.

If you've been to Florence, let us know what we should see (when we're not in Irish bars watching the World Cup!)
