Customer Care Training for Othobothini CHC Nursing Personnel and Satellite Clinics
On 09 July 2025, nursing personnel from Othobothini CHC and its five satellite clinics (Jozini, Makhathini, Nondabuya, Ophondweni, and Gwaliweni) received training on Customer Care. The training was facilitated by the Office of Communication, represented by Mrs. Z. Myeni (PRO), as pictured.
The aim of the training was to reinforce professionalism and ethics among nursing staff, with a focus on how to treat clients and patients with the care and respect expected from public servants and healthcare workers.
Key healthcare priorities — Universal Health Coverage, Patient Experience of Care, and Reduced Mortality & Morbidity — were highlighted as critical elements in improving life expectancy. These align with one of the Department of Health’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Treating clients with respect, dignity, and courtesy is central to the Batho Pele principles, which must be upheld daily across all healthcare facilities.
We also encourage our clients and the broader community to engage with our feedback systems, including the Complaints, Compliments & Suggestions procedure, to help us better meet their needs.
The Office of Communication is always open to receive your feedback. Alternatively, you can use the Suggestion Boxes located in all waiting areas and main entrances of our facilities.
