Hi CPPAA!

I'm looking to fill my previous position as a traveling phlebotomist with a UNC research study on women with fibroids, based out of UNC Health Promotion and Disease Prevention down MLK. This is a temporary (Jan-March/April), part-time position that is a very unique opportunity. It requires a car! It's a great stepping stone if you recently got certified as a phlebotomist (they hired me straight out of my program!) The team is wonderful and so supportive in both the position as well as your long-term career goals.

Hey CPPAA!

We hope you guys are having somewhat relaxing summers amidst all the exciting opportunities you all have had the chance to take on.

With that being said, we would LOVE to hear anything you may have learned from working, volunteering, shadowing, or just your own research that you think would be beneficial to those of us on the pre-PA path! This can be anything from requirements, relevant stats, or advice from healthcare professionals that you have encountered this summer or in the past.

Our second admitted PA student who will be speaking at our meeting tonight is Cayla Culbreth! Cayla is a Psychology major with Biology and Spanish for the Professions minors from Raleigh, NC. She will begin ECU’s PA program in the fall! Bring questions to ask!! See y’all at 7!!!

Meet a UNC senior who has been accepted into PA school: Paige Trexler is a Biology major with Chemistry and Spanish minors from Cary, NC. She will begin PA school at Pace University in New York City this summer!!! Paige will be at our meeting tonight to answer questions about the application process and her journey to PA school!
