Today, we’re announcing our participation in the newly released CMS Interoperability Framework, and our intention to become a CMS-Aligned Network, which was formalized today at the White House. Interoperability has always been a bipartisan initiative, and we are committed to continuing to collaborate to make CommonWell’s vision a reality: that all health data should be available to clinicians, care teams, and patients, regardless of where care occurs.
CommonWell’s invitation to participate in the Framework is a recognition of our longstanding work with government agencies to make seamless interoperability a reality. Our platform is already aligned to many of this administration’s priorities, including patient access, provider access, and industry leading connectivity and security.
While much will be defined in the coming days, weeks, and months, we’re thrilled to see that interoperability remains a priority for the federal government, and we look forward to helping our members and newcomers navigate the future of national health data exchange.
