You know what you need to do, you just…don’t do it. Or you do, but you don’t stick with it long enough to make a difference.

Because the truth is, motivation doesn’t show up every day 🙃 And sometimes we need a little extra push to follow through on what we say we’re going to do.

This challenge is simple:

👉🏼 choose your habits

👉🏼 stick to them for 21 days (in total)

👉🏼 get rewarded

👉🏼 engage with a chill community

Can I tell you something I wish I’d known sooner?

Food’s not the enemy on your weight loss journey.

Odds are, treating it like the enemy is the reason it’s been getting in your way (sorry to burst your bubble, friend)

I used to cut out everything possible because it was supposed to make losing weight easier. It didn’t 🙃

Instead, I’d constantly be thinking about the food I missed having and it would only be a matter of time before I started stuffing my face with it. Like ice cream? I’d down an entire gallon. Yes, gallon 🙈

1 step forward, 2 steps back. Over and over and over again 🙃

When I tell you how much happier I’ve been now that I’ve stopped restricting myself?? And not just because I’m a foodie, but because it means I get to enjoy the process, make progress that lasts, have more energy for life, etc.

Let this be your sign to HAVE THE DANG ICE CREAM. Choose balance over restriction and make the process enjoyable so you actually enjoy it. That’s the only way you’ll stick with it 😉

If you were hanging out with me on stories yesterday, you know yesterday was…a day 🙃

What was supposed to be a 12 hour travel day from LA to Tennessee turned into a 25 hour travel adventure that included:

• waking up at 3am

• a super rude Lyft driver to start the day

• sitting on a plane during (what was supposed to be) a short delay from a Michigan snowstorm

• getting stuck in Michigan after the flight was cancelled

• opting to rent a car instead of getting rebooked for another day

• getting yelled at by a grumpy old man having a bad day

• carrying my suitcase through the snow for 10+ minutes to a rental car place after the first one didn’t offer one way cars

• clearing 6+ inches of snow off the car and using my boots as shovels to clear out snow for the front tires

• driving 9+ hours and getting to go through my hometown of Cincinnati, OH

• a combo of calls with friends, Drew, and my mom + listening to a murder podcast + singing the entire Heathers musical soundtrack to keep me awake

• finally passing out at 4am my time (7am in TN)

It was quite the journey, and I just kept telling myself it would make a great story 🤣

All things considered, it wasn’t so bad. I made it to my AirBnb safely and had so many people checking in on me and making sure I was okay 🫶🏼 it meant a ton!

I’ve been dragging a bit today, but I’m so glad I didn’t miss out on more time with some of my favorite people. So worth the loooong adventure!

I’ve got a bone to pick with mainstream fitness myths.

I thought healthy living or wanting to lose weight meant I could only eat rabbit food and had to workout every day (no thanks).

Every trend I tried taught me that food was my enemy and exercise was my punishment.

It left me flailing around blindly with how to eat, made me feel super guilty about being a foodie, and had me tracking my calories and steps like it was my job.

If I didn’t end the day in a calorie deficit, I’d pace the halls to get as many steps as possible. Or just beat myself up over it and totally go nuts with a pint of ice cream later.

Here’s something I wish I knew sooner:

True health and enjoyable weight loss are about balance.

You’ve gotta stop depriving yourself and punishing your body. I mean really ask yourself, has it gotten you to where you wanna be? Has it brought you joy?

If you’re still here reading this, the answer is probably no. And you’ve probably been craving some kind of solution that lets you love your life AND see results.

This weekend can’t come soon enough - I’m so excited!

That’s the one thing about my job that I’ll openly admit I don’t like: I don’t get to see the people I work with in real life more than 2 or 3 times a year 👎🏼

Don’t get me wrong - I love being remote and putting in comfy clothes to work from home, but I SO wish I could call these guys up for a coffee date whenever I want! There’s something about having company that makes being productive so much easier (and more fun).

There’s a whole group of us hanging out in the CUTEST AirBnb this weekend and I cannot WAIT! Good food. Good company. Exploring. Working out together. Taking pics. You’ll see me share a ton about it in my stories 🥰

You ever love a picture as a whole, but not how you look in it?

These are pics of me TOTALLY in my element.

Out on a date night, wearing my new cow print vest, watching a beach sunset in Santa Monica, rocking my new haircut, palm trees in the back - the whole shebang.

But when I looked at these pictures, all I could think about is how I wished I could’ve angled my face differently so I looked skinnier.

I’m 4+ years into my healing journey when it comes to my relationship with exercise, food, and my body. And STILL those thoughts creep in.

Just goes to show you that unlearning habits is an ongoing process, and that you can be in a MUCH healthier place and still have work to do. Like me 💁🏻‍♀️

You won’t just flip the switch one day and be cured after spending years picking your body apart in the mirror. I wish I could tell you it was different!

If you’re on a weight loss journey, I’m sending you all the love. Doing the work is worth celebrating, and learning how to love yourself regardless of shape or size takes some practice.

Keep practicing. Take it from me - it’ll get easier 🫶🏼

I saved the best for last 😍

When I first started working out at home, I only had 5 pound dumbbells that I got from my mom and maybe 1 or 2 resistance bands. And my body weight (those kinds of workouts are no joke lol).

It meant I had to get pretty creative when my workouts called for other equipment ❣️ I actually have a pic with common household alternatives. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗘 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜’𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂!

If I’d had access to something like this 4 years ago, I can only imagine how differently my journey would’ve gone. It took SO LONG to accumulate my stash of weights so I could start really strength training. I gains would have been 👩🏻‍🍳😘 I’m telling you now.

I can’t tell you how much joy it brings me to be able to do that for one of you - the people who show up, support me here, and make what I do possible. This whole giveaway was designed to be a thank you gift!
