Nutrition 911 Common sense nutrition and wellness information from Amy Mills MS, RD, CDN I am currently an adjunct professor at LIU Brooklyn teaching nutrition.

I am a Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and also a New York State certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN). I hold a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from New York University and completed a year-long internship at New York-Presbyterian hospital in Manhattan. I worked as a clinical dietitian at NYU Medical center in general medicine and critical care. I hav

e also lead groups in weight management and nutrition at LIU Brooklyn and Pratt Institute. I am an accredited member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Greater New York Dietetic Association, and the Nutrition Entrepreneurs dietetic practice group. I also hold certificates of training in advanced adult weight management levels 1 and 2 from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. I has extensive experience in fitness as well. I worked as a private fitness trainer at the Reebok Sports Club New York, and have been very involved in the running community of New York City. I was president of my running club, The New York Flyers, in 2003 and have completed seven marathons on five different continents, over 35 half-marathons and several Olympic distance triathlons.
