What is Awareness Through Movement?
These are movement lessons designed to help you notice old patterns of action, take time honor them as you attend to quieting them from being the only way to do the action so that you can discover new possibilities that are easier and lighter using your whole self -- not just your neck, shoulder or legs.

I'm Bonnie Kissam, Feldenkrais® Practitioner who studied directly with Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais in 1980—decades before neuroplasticity became mainstream. What I learned changed everything about how the brain and healing from the inside actually work.

ONLINE means you are at home and I offer verbal instructions yet watch and coach you through the lesson with more verbal suggestions. Your job is to sense what you are experiencing, own it and create changes in responses that are uncomfortable or not efficient.

Move a Tight Jaw to a Light Jaw
I slept with my fists clenched and my jaw held tight. I learned that once my brain allowed me to experience the possibility of ‘sleeping with less tension, I woke up with a Jaw wide open! This changed me! I developed an awareness to when I over-tightened my jaw and that I could alter that experience. Soon, I had a Light Jaw, even in my sleep.
As a Feldenkrais® Practitioner with a Master’s Degree in Dance, I created Touch To Inform Seminars to support conscious Therapists and Coaches, like you, to use a neurological influence through a Touch that INFORMS. I slept with my fists clenched and my jaw held tight. I learned that once my brain allowed me to experience the possibility of ‘sleeping with less tension, I woke up with a Jaw wide open!
