By consuming a variety of foods that are difficult to digest at the same time, you are wearing out the gastric mucus in your stomach wall which can later cause serious health complications such as gastritis.

To avoid this from happening & still be able to enjoy your favorite foods, combine your favorite harder-to-digest foods with soft, easy-to-digest foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, & legumes.

For example, instead of having just a T-Bone steak, have an arugula salad first with a wide variety of nutrient-rich foods such as mushrooms, 100% whole grain croutons, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, & olive oil for heart health. You can also have fruits after your steak as well.

These tips are also beneficial for anyone trying to lose weight since you'll be combining a calorically-dense food like T-Bone steak with calorically sparse, high volume foods. β’
