If you’re reading this and it resonates with you it’s probably because of the following:

- You’re currently using a dieting approach that makes you feel like you’re on a pass fail assignment.

- You’re following guidance from someone or something that promised results as long as you stuck to the plan

- You’ve tried all the things and nothing seems to work so at this point you’ll try anything to get the weight off even if it sucks

- You’ve given yourself a deadline so you think it doesn’t matter if your approach is unsustainable because it’s only to reach the goal

But what happens when you reach the goal. Are you going to eat broccoli and chicken and tilapia every day for the rest of your life?

Are simple snacks and even your favorite food always going to be deemed as “cheat meals”

Are you going to live your life going to social events thinking and rethinking your food and drink choices because they weren’t on the plan?

If not, it may be time to check in with yourself and ask … “Is my short term body goal worth sacrificing my long term relationship with food?”

Because at the end of the day, how you relate to food is a major key to sustaining healthy, consistent progress.

Extremes and unrealistic approaches set you up for weight regain, binge eating, yo-yo dieting, last supper mentality (we’ll talk about that in another post), and unhealthy punishment and reward systems (especially with the scale).

So Instead of following strict diets and unrealistic methods for weight loss, you can simply start becoming aware of what your body needs, understand what unhealthy habits are holding you back, start making mindful healthy choices daily, and work on consistency with those choices.

You can reach that goal WITHOUT restrictive dieting.

But first… I’m willing to be that you check off on at least one thing on this list:

1. You’re getting clients but you’re juggling way too much in your business and it’s causing burn out (especially if you’re spending time on meal plans, zoom sessions, workout programs, apps, macros, scheduling, payments etc.)

Mindset is the biggest thing that will hold you back from succeeding. You have to be willing to take risks and go after what you want regardless of what you think the outcome may be. Because you won’t know until you do it.

You have to be become self aware to understand the limitations you place on yourself… because are the only thing standing in your way of your goal achievement.

You… and comfort.

Because baybaayyy… when you’re comfortable… its easier to let time and opportunities pass while you sit back, wait your turn, or worse, take time for granted and keep putting things off.

Now… let me be clear, you don’t have to rush. BUT… you do have to at least take action. And I’ve talked to sooooo many people who just let years go by while their dreams just sit on the shelf until the ideal time comes around (but that ain’t my business).

That’s when you allow Overthinking,
Procrastination and worry to sneak in. And those are the death of dreams.

The other death happens when you start Relying on other people’s approval. Sure you may want a mentor, a friend or a partner’s input but ultimately YOU have to make your own decisions and believe 1000% in your vision because again … even when you fail you win. So there’s really no way to lose.

My mentor once told me “Sometimes we’re the ones standing in the way of what God is trying to do through us. He gave you your gifts for a reason, and that’s everything you need to succeed”

🤯 I can’t unhear it.

All in all go after what you want. And if you don’t have it yet or you haven’t started working on it just be ok with where you are because that’s where you’re going to be until you start doing something about it.
