CT Support Group CT's online peer-led community by young people, for young people. We know what it’s like to feel alone, stressed, worried, sad, and angry.

TurningPointCT.org was developed by young people in Connecticut who are in recovery from mental health and substance use issues. We’ve lived through the ups and downs of self-harm, drugs and alcohol, and the struggle to find help. Thankfully, we found what worked for us. Our goal is to provide information and support to help you choose your path so that you don’t have to struggle the way we did. So, welcome to TurningPointCT.org—guiding your search for mental wellness. Our mission is to empower teens and young adults in their search for emotional and mental health. Our website will help you understand your options and learn how to navigate the behavioral health system:
- We help you learn about treatment models, local community supports, and state and national resources.
- We connect you with other teens and young adults who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harm, thoughts of suicide, addiction, mood swings, eating disorders, substance abuse, or any form of emotional distress or mental illness.
- We need your input to make this resource meet your needs. Join our Discord or DM us on social media and tell us what you think!

"People with shared lived experiences can be some of the strongest supports in each other’s lives. When we show up for one another with empathy and honesty, it does more than just get us through a tough day. It also helps us care for ourselves and build healthier relationships." 🫶

Tomorrow, Street Smart Ventures will be at the Join Rise Be Leadership Summit at the Chrysalis Center in Hartford.

Michael Scanlon is teaming up with Quinn Jannetty of CT Support Group to lead an interactive session called:

Design Your Life: Connection and Clarity

This workshop is all about helping young people move beyond vague goals and into intentional life design through reflection, conversation, and community support.

One of the tools participants will be using is a guided goal setting worksheet based on the 8 Dimensions of Wellness, including areas like emotional, social, physical, financial, occupational, and spiritual wellness. The worksheet helps participants identify what matters most, clarify their purpose, and map out real action steps with support from the people around them.

Proud to see this work happening in spaces that empower young leaders across Connecticut.

Quinn shares some steps we can all take towards building our community, especially when we're unsure of where to start. In times that feel uncertain and frightening, it's important to remember that while we're all each other has, we're also all we will ever need! 🫂

"By the end of January, a lot of us start to feel our New Year motivation slipping. The resolutions we made a few weeks ago can feel far away. Plus, winter doesn’t always make it easier to keep up with healthy routines. National Green Juice Day, celebrated on January 26, is a small but fun opportunity to hit the 'refresh' button on our wellness goals and check in with how we’re really doing."

Jules reflected on wellness, resolutions, and acts of self care without the pressure of perfection in her latest blog post. Click the link in our bio to read more! 💫
