Calming your nervous system and getting out of fight-or-flight mode is the most important first step. Shifting your thinking about the possibility of restoring health and healing. Making small changes that work for you as a true lifestyle. Ahhh, yes, now we are on to something!

Beating yourself up about not following a 'diet' properly or creating a hard core unrealistic workout plan just adds more stress to an overly stressed situation.

This is why I spend so much time on intake with all of my clients, understanding their life situation and exactly where to begin on the path the health and healing. It is MOST often with beliefs & mindset work ๐Ÿง  and then with very small health changes that can actually work for a busy life without adding more stress.

Common mistake EVERY HUMAN makes on their health journey (that you often don't even realize you are doing???) ๐Ÿซฃ

Believing that negative thought loop that fires up in your head when you least expect it and tells you that you can never heal or be healthy. Why bother?? May as well give up now. ๐Ÿ—ฃ

A better way?

Stop. ๐Ÿ›‘ Breathe. Open your heart. ๐Ÿ’š Realize the negative thought patterns are most likely old stories and fears from childhood and you get to choose as an adult in this moment what you want for you life. ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ™Œ

You CAN stick to your healthy plans and achieve everything you want for your health and your life. Especially when you know how to work with your thoughts and beliefs and reshape them to support yourself instead of tearing yourself down. Adult you gets to choose from a clear space of health in every new moment. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ’ช

I am upping my plant based ๐ŸŒฑ protein because I am strength training again. ๐Ÿ’ช I am aiming for 5X per week strength training and power walking for some cardio. My muscles are screaming! I hadn't been doing any hard workouts for a while. ๐Ÿ˜Š It feels good to get back to a regular fitness routine.

I had this Kale Krush smoothie with a scoop of organic vegan protein powder after my morning workout. Super easy with the pre-made smoothie. I made this one thick with less water and ate it as a smoothie bowl. Fueling some muscle growth to keep this almost-52-year-old body in great shape! Strength training is my favorite form of exercise.

So far they have been very tasty, easy to split between the two of us with some basic additions like sweet potatoes, rice & beans. We split a savory bowl or soup and share a sweet bowl or smoothie for dessert.

Happy Spring! ๐ŸŒทAnd Happy Pollen Season... which can mean itchy doggies. ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿคง This natural remedy is from one of my all time favorite resources for natural pet care Our pup Riley had seasonal allergies where he licked & bit his paws, his belly fur, or all over sometimes. We tried all sorts of things and basic natural remedies like this are often as good or better than a bunch of toxic meds.

Eating a lot of Taco Salad Bowls ๐Ÿฅ—๐ŸŒฎ lately. I have been doing a ton of fasting, eating 1 main meal a day. This melts fat off me like nothing else! Gets me feeling lean and at my goal weight. Especially when paired with healthy whole food plant based FEASTS (my one big meal eaten in about a 1 hour window).

This bowl had pressure cooker seasoned rice ๐Ÿš & beans ๐Ÿซ˜, soy curls, lettuce ๐Ÿฅฌ, microgreens, a raw veggie winter slaw with a delicious citrus dressing ๐ŸŠ, tofu based onion dip, fermented onions ๐Ÿง…, jalapenos ๐ŸŒถ, carrots ๐Ÿฅ• & cauliflower, and some homemade fermented hot sauce. SO good! SO filling! And so healthy for my body - both the fasting and the whole plant foods.

One of the fastest ways to shift to more calming, loving, supportive thoughts & beliefs is with PSYCH-K. It is a quick & easy way to access the subconscious mind ๐Ÿง  and create new, kind, supportive beliefs like the ones shown here "It's OK to make mistakes" or even more powerful beliefs like "I deeply appreciate and accept myself" or "I accept my imperfections as opportunities to learn valuable lessons in my life". In a session, we work together to come up with positive goal statements or beliefs that you get to choose. You can train the subconscious right on out of these shame spiral beliefs.
