🌟 I just had to share this with you all! 🌟 These crispy, golden tostones are one of my favorite things to make. They’re super simple, delicious, and perfect with a side of my homemade salsa (the recipe is on the blog!). 🥭🍅

We got tired of of store-bought broths filled with preservatives and unnecessary ingredients, so we made our own broth using fresh, whole foods like sweet potato, kale, celery, onions, turmeric, ginger, and more. 🌿 It’s super simple to make!

Steps:

1. Chop your veggies.

2. Add them to a large pot with water.

3. Bring it to a boil for 20 minutes, then simmer on low for 3 hours.

4. Strain and bottle in mason jars. That’s it!

I ended up with over a gallon of rich, flavorful broth. 💪 It’s great as a base for soups, stews, rice, and even as a warming tea! I store mine in the fridge for a few days and use it throughout the week. No salt added – perfect for seasoning to your taste later. 👌

Give it a try – there’s nothing better than homemade. Trust me, you’ll taste the difference. 😊

30-Day Juice Cleanse Complete! 🥤💪🏽

Just wrapped up a 30-day juice cleanse centered around one of my favorite fruits: watermelon! 🍉 Initially, I started by eating whole watermelon, but after about a week, I switched to juicing. Some days, it was just watermelon, while on others, I mixed things up with lime, pineapple, ginger, and green apples. 🌱🍍🍏🍋

This journey wasn't about weight loss (though I did shed about 20 lbs), but more about cleansing and focusing on overall health. I still kept up with my training and teaching my MMA classes, feeling lighter and more energized than ever! 💥

Juice cleansing has so many benefits:

Detoxifies the body by flushing out toxins naturally 🌿

Hydrates deeply, keeping your cells nourished 💧

Provides an immune boost with nutrient-packed fruits and veggies 🛡️

Improves digestion and supports gut health 🌱

Enhances mental clarity and boosts energy levels 🔋

Last meal of the day before training at

Roasted red pepper hummus
Cooked quinoa
Sliced Red Bell Peppers

Diced:
tomatoes
Jalapeños
Onions
Cucumbers

Spring mix

Sprouts:
Broccoli
Alfalfa
Beets

Wrapped it all up in a collard leaf and repeated the process 3 times. Everything else for the rest of the day and night is consumed in liquid form(tea's, fresh juices, or smoothies).

Just made something special for lunch today! I seasoned and seared these lion's mane mushrooms until they were just crispy on the edges – talk about flavor! Then I fluffed up some quinoa, and tossed a kale salad with a homemade dressing for that fresh crunch. Seriously, who needs a restaurant when you can create this goodness at home? The only place I see that sells lions mane is wholefoods. Either that, or grow your own. If you all know any other places, please share the info. Thanks 🍴😋

Lions mane mushrooms are a great bridge for those crossing over and trying to eat less animal products. Lately, we have been eating more uncooked foods and a lot of fresh juices, smoothies, and simple mono fruit meals. However, we prepared these for some friends trying to transition and they could not believe how good it was. This was a simple stir fry with minimal ingredients.
