Phewww it is toasty right now in Scotland 😅 a rarity in these parts but I wonder if this might help one of you....

A while ago I bought 2 of these for inside my husbands pillow to help keep him cool at night. As you might already know epileptic sezuires can be triggered by all manner of things and for us it includes temperature extremes.

This time of year, ours get transported around the house during they day while he uses them on his back or under a foot to stay regulated. The dogs are also fans too if they see it on the floor ( with or without his foot ontop of it) they like a good old chilly nap.🐕

Even in the cold of winter we have these on hand to make sure the heating we have in the house for the kids comfort doesn't send Hugh into an internal inferno causing multiple sezuires in his sleep. They are easy to wipe clean if needed and help all year round. Plus they won't break the bank. 🤑

That's us day 1 into the summer holidays here in Scotland and what a belter it's been. We took the kids rock climbing at a local sports centre and even managed the travel there and back sezuire free!

Might seem like such a simple transition for most people but for us traveling can be a real trigger for my husbands sezuires due to the uncertainty of how it could be which adds stress about maybe havig a sezuire....which can actaully cause one 🙈
So for us it's a big deal.

Well, Holly knickers guys!

I braved an exercise class today 😅

With other humans who had some time to spend looking after their bodies and brain😅B.E.A..utiful😄

It's was a 45 minute 'group HIIT' class but it felt like a secret club of individuals challening themselves to feel good 🤔 ..who knew?
A welcome change of pace anyway. I can definitly recommended some sweaty fun😏, if you can add it in to your week.

I know it can be a busy life we all lead with responsibilities through the roof and often limited people to step in and help out.

The kids and Hugh enjoyed a lovely catch up with a supportive and understanding family friend ( from out of town) while I was out so even Hugh got peace from me too.

I have spent many days during our journey post diagnoses feeling lonely. Not because I was on my own but because it felt like everyone around me was reliant on me keeping my head together which is sometimes just too big a mindfield for one person.

So if you are reading this just now and feeling the pressure in your situation, please know most of us here have been there too and will probably be there again. Feel free to share your feelings in the comments below even if its by means of emoji to let the Tribe support you today too🥰

Our memory plays such a pivotal role in how we behave, yet most of us don't give it much thought untill there is a problem.

Recently Hugh has started getting a reoccurring thought about the fridge 😆

I hear you ....I have a reoccurring fridge thought but its more about what snacks I can nibble on rather than his which has him worrying his juice will not chill🥶 to the perfect ratio of cold. In response to this he wacks up the cold thermostat in with fridge everytime he visits the appliance...

So this means the rest of us are dealing with ah- la -slushy milk in our cuppa or like tonight I'm hack sawing the cucumber so it has time to reach room temp before dinner.

Dunno about you but if I don't anchor these random jobs to a schedule I just never get to it. In this house if you don't make noise or jump about excitedly in front of my face then you're in danger of gathering dust! 💦 🧽

For a few years now I've been jamming a deep clean of the washing machine on the first of every month to help my machine last longer and smell fresh ⚘
