Last week I tried the sample workout of our brand new *Dance Conditioning & Resistance Training* program. And I LOVED it! Yes. Me. I loved a dance program. I remember trying a few of our older dance programs back in 2017 and was not inspired. So not the case with this one!
It’s tempting to underestimate dance as an effective form of exercise but let me tell you, Shaun T thought of it all!

I know we all had high hopes for 2021 after the craziness of 2020 but to be honest this year started off a little rough for me. More on that later!

I had to take some time for ME and get my life back in some sort of order. BUT I’m here and feeling so good after controlling what I can control in this crazy world.

Hi!! I’m still here doing my thing! I took the month of October off from my daily posting but I share daily over on Instagram in my stories. Are you following me there? You should if you’re not!

I feel refreshed and renewed to start sharing more over here and can’t wait to tell you all the exciting things coming this month and in December.

So what happened in October and early November? I started and finished Beachbody’s first ever running program! I did a 5K run last weekend. It wasn’t perfect but felt so good to accomplish that ✅

I jumped into November doing my all time favorite program from this summer, Muscle Burns Fat ( ). I’m about 2 weeks in and am falling in love with this program all over again.

We all have the same 24 hours in a day. How we chose to fill it is a choice.

What is standing in your way to make a change?

One week left in September and 3 months left in 2020! I know a lot of us are wishing this year away but why? There's still time focus on the good around us and work on making us stronger in all aspects of life. Because let's be honest, who knows what 2021 will throw our way! 😬

I get this month especially has been hard to focus on health and wellness. Kid's back in school, trying to navigate virtual learning and maybe you're still stuck at home trying to work full time.

But the truth is, waiting around for a new month or year is just plan silly! Embrace today and what you have in front of you.

🌟Find the time to make yourself a priority. I don't just have blocks of time waiting around for me, I schedule and plan my workouts into my day because they make me feel better! And I know I'm an all around better person when I feel my best.

🌟Give yourself plenty of options of doing a workout that makes you look forward to it! Hate running? Don't do it! Don't have an hour to spend at a gym? Don't, do a 20 minute heart pounding workout and get on with your day! Having options to meet your lifestyle will never get old or boring.

🌟Maybe you're scared to start or don't feel ready. I'll tell you, the idea of ever really being ready probably won't happen. So just start. Today! The more you over think it, the more you can put it off. Take it one day, one workout, one meal at a time. And with a community uplifting you along the way, you won't feel alone.

I’m curious! Where are all my runner or want to be runner friends?!

I am so pumped (and nervous in a good way!) for our next program, 30 Day Breakaway! It's our newest running program that will get you out running!

The running could be around your neighborhood, on a treadmill or at the local track but by the of the 30 days you will be able to run a 5k! I haven’t done that in YEARS!

I am trying the sample workout tomorrow and you can too!

The first 15 minute block will be weight training. This can be done at home or at a gym.

Then throw on some shoes and get ready for 12 minutes of guided interval training. You can either just listen if you’re outside OR have your screen popped up by your treadmill.

I'm so excited to get started next month with the program. I’ll be running (no pun intended!) a full on accountability group so stay tuned!

Why do we run from challenges? Have you ever really asked yourself that?

💡What I read today was like a light bulb moment. We run to protect our egos, even if it means eliminating the possibility of getting what we want💡

Why do we do that?

As long as we continue to avoid what we’re running from, it doesn’t exist, right?

WRONG!

What if you really are good at _________. Fill in the blank for whatever you’re avoiding.

Don’t let your worries hold you back from doing the work that will lead you to your best and happiest life!

You can be afraid and do it anyway.

Another program complete! That makes 21 Beachbody programs done, not including the ones I’ve repeated! Today ended with a good stretch but over the past 3 weeks of doing Muscle Burns Fat Advanced I saw my strength increase, my stamina get better and my mental toughness definitely got stronger.

I started these home workouts in 2017 and since November of 2017 they have been the only tool I’ve used to stay fit and healthy. I never thought that is would be my method of choice after 5 years of Crossfit but here I am with zero regrets!

🌟I love the convenience of working out on my terms and not someone else’s timeline with little to no equipment needed. Plus no mask required! 😷
🌟With the variety available (weight lifting, barre, boxing, HIIT focused, dance, and coming next month a RUNNING/LIFTING program) I never get bored.
🌟There is zero guess work to what I have to do. Which is great when you’re working out at 5AM before you’re fully awake. I let the pro’s design the programs and I just wander down and hit play. Easy Peasy!

It’s client spotlight day!! My friend Ivan jumped all in to Muscle Burns Fat ( ) after completing 60 days of insanity! I love his dedication.

Here’s what we had to say after completing the first 3 weeks of MBF: “I enjoyed MBF as my first ever weight lifting program. I have always shied away from free weights because I was not confident with how to use them. MBF was a great program to introduce weight training in my own home with lots of modifications to each move! The instructor and team made the workouts challenging and fun. I loved the music in the background which always motivated me to keep my intensity at the desired pace. I noticed within just the three weeks I was confident enough to try heavier dumbbells with success. I'm looking forward doing MBFA and being able to use heavier weights at the end of that program.”

This program is perfect for experienced weight lifters, CrossFitters AND people new to lifting. Ivan is proof of that!

Courage is just a push...when you push yourself, you may not change the world, the laws, or spark a civil rights movement but I guarantee you’ll change something equally as important-you’ll change yourself.

What if you didn’t overthink things. What if you just 5-4-3-2-1 counted down and said yes.

All the feels tonight. Nolan is back to school tomorrow starting Kinder-ready after being home with me for the last 24 weeks. Only 2 days a week because I’m still working from home.

I reached out to my management and just asked if having another engineering resource on site would be beneficial (on Nolan’s school days). And they said yes.

I’m not sure for how long this will be for or where things go from here. But here we are. Starting a new routine.

I’m sure it will be good for both of us but change is hard! And my boy is growing up!

Alarm is set for 5am so I can get my workout in and start the day off somewhat normally.

My biggest concern however are my snacks! The fridge and microwaves are not to be used so help a girl out! What are your go to filling snacks that are good to go room temp! 🍎🍌🥒🥕🥨
