We headed to the beautiful countryside of Kurunegoda in Avissawella, 2hrs 30mins away from Colombo to have an exclusive yoga, breath work, meditation retreat to experience, to enrich and enhance our physical and mental wellbeing. The retreat was suitable for anyone who has an open mind to receive the yoga and meditation practice without judgment.
We had mixed levels of Yin yoga practice strong and soft breath practices, good amount of nature, different meditation practices, mantras, chanting (Pirith and Bhajans), sharing good vibes and amazing food.

Certain organized groups have been spreading wrong and misleading information about the birth place of the Buddha. Discussion with these 5 scholar monks from various countries and schools would be helpful for understanding where the sacred place would be according to the Dhamma literature, history and other reliable sources. This would be important topic to discuss during this month of Vesak when majority of the Buddhists are celebrating the Buddha’s birthday, Enlightenment and Maha Parinibbana. Everyone is welcome to join. You would have an opportunity to ask your important questions too.
