Georgiana Farrugia Bonnici graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Malta in the year 2018. She has worked as a foundation doctor at Mater Dei Hospital, Mount Carmel Hospital, Karin Grech Hospital, South Primary Health Centres, South Mental Health clinics, as well as the Malta Covid-19 public health response team, within the Ministry of Health from years 2018 till 2021. In 2019, she has also embarked on a medical missionary work experience in Jhansi, India. In the year 2022, she has started her venture as a General Practitioner trainee with the Primary Health Care Department in the Ministry of Health. She has attained further experience at the local Telemedicine Hub, Gozo General Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital, Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre and Hospice (Malta). Over the past decade, she has worked in several settings such as family medicine, psychiatry, general/colorectal/endocrine surgery, acute medicine, internal medicine, rheumatology, orthopaedics and trauma, geriatrics and rehabilitation medicine, accident and emergency, public health, respiratory medicine, cardiology, ENT, opthalmology, palliative care, paediatrics, dermatology, medical imaging, obstetrics/gynaecology, and is currently in the process of sitting for the final licensing board examination to complete her training as a Family Medicine Specialist, by the year 2026. Georgiana Farrugia Bonnici has also completed a Bachelors of Science Degree in Diagnostic Radiography, and a Masters of Science Degree in Family Medicine. She values Preventive Medicine, and has attained various diplomas in Nutrition & Dietetics, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy & Mindful Mental Health, Homeopathy & Reflexology, Gerontology & Geriatrics, as well as Creative Writing. She is also an avid researcher, a knighted member of Knight Templars (Malta) - Pieta' del Pellicano, clinical peer reviewer, medical content creator, Family Medicine clinical supervisor, a neurodiversity and mental health advocate and a voluntary work activist. She is currently working as a General Practitioner trainee with the Primary Health Care Department in the Ministry of Health and as a private medical doctor at Fgura Pharmacy, Polymer Zabbar Pharmacy and Blossoms Pharmacy (Birzebbugia).
