Health, Fitness and Kashmiri Lifestyle Project is about finding out health, fitness and lifestyle habits of people of Kashmir. Studies have proven that by being physically active is a positive contributor to overall physical and mental health while as sedentary lifestyle is a risk factor for several diseases. Generally, people in the West are highly health conscious and have an active lifestyle. They monitor their health, heart rate, nutrition, calorie in-take and exercise regularly which is one of the reasons for their high life expectancy. We also know that most of the people in Kashmir have a sedentary lifestyle and do not actively monitor their health, calorie in-take, nutrition and do not exercise regularly enough. This study will help us to get a basic understanding around this issue.
