Sometimes we need to stretch the capacity of what your mind can even imagine.
For example, my sweet client couldn’t even imagine having a relationship with a man in which she was not chronically deeply disappointed.
She literally couldn’t imagine it.
(And it’s pretty damn hard to align with something you don’t believe exists or can’t imagine for yourself.)
A fulfilling, loving, edifying, nourishing, mutual, kind, mature connection was not even on the radar of her reality.
Did you know your brain actually filters out a huge percentage of the information available in any given moment based on the parameters of your beliefs?
That means even if it was right in front of her, she wouldn’t have been able to recognize it, or worse, she would send that person away in favor of someone who matched what she believed she could have. 😬
She couldn’t even conceive of it,
until she could.. 😏🍯🥰
