Journey with me through arts. It's not just about creativity, it's about the person you are becoming. It has been an enriching journey that has enchanted me.

Life brings one to different places, experiences, and people. I was given the opportunity to explore and study arts and art therapy. As an art therapist and an art educator, I enjoy many encounters with people from different walks of life, both young and old. There is so much to learn from my profession. Currently, I am practicing as an art therapist and an art educator. My relevant qualifications include my Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education and Master of Arts in Art Therapy. I have worked with patients with mental illness, children and adolescents with physical disabilities and trauma, and troubled youths that are beyond parental control, at risk of delinquency, abuse, and neglect.

Reunite with my no longer two little chirpy birds😄 They are big girls now! (Still as chirpy)😂 I first met them when one is only 3yo and the other is in K2. I think the art journey with them started in 2019! I hope no matter how time flies, keep making art.

Today, we had some impressionism art appreciation at National Gallery😉 They picked one of the art pieces they like and drew it. I appreciate the connection time with them and what they shared candidly.😊It brought back many beautiful art making memories with them🩷 Nostalgic🥰

Art Education: Moving to 3D bus

Still playing and exploring🤪 He learned how to do simple pole tie with yarn. So proud of him👏 Play together with them in construction. You are scaffolding their learning, emotion, senses, values, beliefs, building a bond and more then you ever know. Adults play with your children, create meaningful bond and learning. Grow him to be a boy and then a fine man in our "(fill in your own blank)" society.🙏

Art Education: Self-Portrait

Building some awareness of we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Beginning from observing and appreciating where our facial features are in their designated positions. It is part of development that when young children draw, their body parts and facial parts are everywhere. It also shows their cognitive development. We can guide their learning but never hurry their childhood. This child is learning well😊🤩

Art Education: Bus in Action 🚎

Child's play. How can you separate play from a child?? No way! They are make to play, learn through play and process through play. Everything in them is wire up to playfulness. Give them lots of time to be silly, to imagine, to explore, to experiment, to make mistake (not dire), to repeat and repeat (they can ask you to repeat 10x and more😅). Let your inner child play with them, guided by the adult self.

Art Education: Just a Car🚗

I like the magic in children, they invite you to their special world and each child has a different magical world! We are fearfully and wonderfully made indeed!. Our first meeting, just getting to know each other through lines, shapes and colours😉 Obviously, he showed me that he likes car, other vehicles too and some daily activities😂 in our art interaction. He is such a sweet boy😘

She has definitely grown! Not just ìn stature but also cognitively - to be able to comprehend another perspective. Also, steadier in manuevering marker to make desired drawing. Just look at her🤩 Thank God for your growth and the inner passion He puts in you!😊

Children's Biennale 2021 inspired art from "Voices From The Centers"

Weaving of two drawn and coloured pictures of her favourite experience at the National Gallery (She drew one of the drawings from an interesting perspective, moving into higher order thinking😉). It's impossible to figure out the places after the magic weave 🤣 Got to interact with the little artist to find out more 🤷‍♀️

I really like this art piece by this boy. It is a stage of his life that he'll draw like this. The way he percieved how a dragon looks like makes the most authentic artist 💚

Art education: "Stars Searching"⭐

It's the two chirpy birds again😜 The quiet art studio came alive. Hah. Both decided to draw stars, and want to learn how to draw stars, hence we made practising drawing stars into an art piece with lots of glitters, and their names 😉 We had stars fun! 🤩
