Plant Based Yogi By shining the light of yoga of food, eating can be a powerful practice: it nourishes every cell in our body, fueling our capacity to do good in the world.

Plant Based Yogi's purpose is to share the benefits of health and yoga through inspirational recipes, stories and philosophy. While I believe yoga can benefit anyone, practicing is not a prerequisite to participating. Yoga literally means "union" and that has many interpretations. Similarly, eating a whole food plant-based diet is not synonymous with being vegan. However, I believe that every step

toward eating more plants is a positive step for our health, sustainability and the planet. My blog is aimed at helping and inspiring others to thrive on plants and to discover more happiness in life.

Garlic scapes are in season! We made a vegan pesto with the scapes we got from + toasted walnuts, nooch, basil, sweet pepper, and avocado to add moisture and replace oil. Served over Ancient Grains penne, carrots, green beans, corn, and edamame.

Changing up our usual overnight oats or buckwheat with these quick multigrain pancakes: 1/4 each ground oats, whole wheat, rye, and buckwheat, mashed banana, almond milk, and baking powder, and cinnamon. Topped with fresh mango, blueberries, and cardamom cashew butter. Enjoyed with a light roast pour over and generous amounts of macadamia foam ☕️♨️. Breakfasts are a ritual in our household, part meditation, preparation, and play. We don't always have time to make pancakes but we always make time for a long embrace. My partner and I hug in front of our daughter for as long as it takes to feel the "drop" of whatever is weighing us down, so we can refuel with positive vibrations, plants, and love. . . .

Raising a child is the best birthday gift ever. We spent the day picking and eating strawberries from our organic CSA farm, playing in the garden, and just being with each other - simply, peaceful, loving and laughing. Raising a child is the best birthday gift ever. We spent the day picking and eating strawberries from our organic CSA farm, playing in the garden, and just being with each other - simply, peaceful, loving and laughing. Rye sourdough toasts with adzuki bean hummus, cukes, soaked radishes, carrot, and sprouts. A little picnic where we picked up the sourdough. Allana got to play in organic grass (which is hard to find these days) and eat banana.
