Cancer Babes is a network of female AYA cancer survivors under 40 in all stages of disease and is non-cancer specific. We currently have groups in the San Francisco Bay area and upstate New York. Cancer Babes was started in 2012 by Sarena Perez and Britni Berner. Sarena Perez was diagnosed with stage III ovarian cancer on Christmas day in 2011. Britni was diagnosed with stage 1b cervical cancer i

n September, 2011. They met through their oncologist and formed a lasting friendship that helped them both through their respective cancer journeys. We believe that friendship is therapeutic and can assist in the healing process. We help to facilitate young women building these important relationships by hosting social meetups and more. Britni Berner died of her disease on July 19th, 2012 at the age of 27. This group is carried on in her memory. You may follow us on instagram and twitter or our blog www.christmascancer.com.
